he Mumbai Optical Association (MOA), one of the most active and prestigious
such bodies in the country, held its election on 21 and 22 March 2021 The new
Tleadership, managing committee and office bearers will hold their posts for the
tenure of 2021–24.
The election was presided over by two election officers. Mr Bhavin Kothari of Ganko
Optical and Mr Vipul Shah of Vipul Optical, both of whom ensured that the whole
process was conducted in a professional manner, on an absolutely fair and transparent
basis. There were 26 candidates who were in the fray for the election to the 18-member
managing committee. The event was attended by several veterans of the trade like
Mr Rajender Segal and Mr Baldev Sawhney.
The MOA looks forward to scaling new heights, working for the betterment of the
optical industry and instituting new initiatives for the trade under the guidance of
