he advent of the mobile phone was
a revolution, more so as within a

spread worldwide and became so much
more inclusive. More recently, with Apps and
much else, it has become a gadget that’s at
hand all the time.
Since handheld devices are used not just at
our desks but also while standing, lying down,
in public transport and even while attending to
other tasks, this new lifestyle has however led
to new visual challenges. As our bodies need
to adapt and shift to different postures while
engaged in these new usage habits, the new
vision needs call for clear vision irrespective of
the posture.
Glasses with single vision lenses are a bother

using multiple devices. A wearer of prescription
spectacles needs much more flexibility for clear
vision at all times – which cannot happen with
single vision or reading glasses.
PAL (progressive addition lenses) wearers
also have a hard time as they are forced to stay
in a rigid posture because progressive lenses
are traditionally designed to offer clear vision
at different distances for only static postures.
Therefore it’s apparent that without postural
freedom, wearers cannot keep up, comfortably,
with today’s active and connected lifestyles.
There are multiple reasons for this. For
one, they are forced to adopt a static, rigid
posture over a prolonged period of time that
goes against their body’s natural movement.
