Through engaging product presentations, live demonstrations, and interactive discussions, participants had the opportunity to understand how these innovations are addressing the evolving needs of today’s spectacle wearers.

Each of the sessions hosted end-July, two in New Delhi at JW Marriott, and two in Chennai at Taj Coromandel, drew over 1000+ top eye care practitioners. This reflects the industry’s enthusiasm for innovation and its commitment to delivering enhanced visual experiences to consumers, says the company.
The comprehensive portfolio of innovations displayed included Crizal Natural Look – Essilor’s best anti-reflective coating, designed to deliver exceptional clarity while minimising lens reflections for a more natural appearance. Also, there were Stellest 2.0 – the next evolution in myopia management; Eyezen Start Stock with Crizal Sapphire HR coating, an advance premium single vision lens meant for modern digital lifestyle; New Varilux XR Series with Living Intelligence and Varilux Immersia – Occupational Progressive Lenes; and Transitions Color Touch – stylish light intelligent lenses with always on touch of color.
A key highlight of the EssilorLuxottica Innovision event was an interactive Demo Zone. This area was where attendees experienced Essilor’s latest technologies, and got a first-hand understanding of the product features and their unique benefits. The interaction with Essilor representatives offered a highly immersive and educational experience.
Senior company representatives spoke about different aspects of interest to the sector. Venu Ambati, President – Greater India, EssilorLuxottica, shared his vision for the future of the optical industry, emphasising that the company’s role extends beyond vision correction to becoming a partner in preventive healthcare and connected vision solutions. He highlighted emerging trends such as ocular diagnostics (Oculomics), where routine eye examinations supported by AI can help detect systemic health conditions at an early stage; and smart, connected eyewear that integrates health, communication and assistive technologies.

Radhika Francis, Business head, Myopia, highlighted myopia management as one of the most urgent priorities in modern eye care. She urged eye care professionals to educate parents about the dangers of untreated myopia progression and proactively discuss available management options instead of limiting treatment to single vision lenses.

Sumant Singh, Head of Operations, emphasised that while product innovation is important, its true value depends on the technology and manufacturing processes behind it. He spoke about EssilorLuxottica’s latest process innovation, which enhances lens durability through improved bonding between lens layers.
The presentation concluded with Anish K, Head of Essilor Brands, highlighting that the future of the optical industry lies in retailers moving beyond price-based selling through consumer education, effective communication of the benefits of premium lens solutions, and a stronger focus on personalized dispensing. He concluded by urging retailers and the company to work together to elevate professional eye care and deliver greater value to consumers.
