OCI

n a lead up to World Sight Day
which falls on 14 October this year,
Ithe Optometry Council of India
(OCI) announced several initiatives,
guidelines and support measures
in advance for professionals’ active
participation. Key among
these was a target of
100,000 screenings in 100
days beginning from 1 September 2021.

The United Nations (UN) resolution
of “Eye health for all by 2030” expects
all countries to commit to this. And
OCI aims to go all out to support this
with eye screenings and by increasing
public awareness on eye care.
