                s a showcase event for eyewear of the future, DaTE is
                about creativity, innovation and originality, its core
          Aelements. The 8  edition of the show that concluded
                             th
          in Florence, Italy, on 21 September 2020, attracted 1,000 pre-
          registered professionals and buyers over three days.
             Considering the global pandemic crisis, this was quite a
          turnout, reiterating the importance of in-person events, and
          inspiring optimism that in spite of the situation through a major
          part of this year when postponements and cancellations have
          been unavoidable, a restart is possible. Of course, all protocols
          were in place, in full compliance with all health and hygiene
          regulations in force, at the Stazione Leopolda venue.

             Exhibitors got the chance to show their new collections,
          previously visible only on line. While it was exciting for them to
          present their innovations and projects, until now only shared
