ounder and optical entrepreneur Alicia Hartman set up her
luxury boutique Eye Q Stylist Opticians at home in Barbados,
Fthe picturesque island country in the Caribbean Sea, to
offer niche and independent eyewear brands with a focus on fine
craftsmanship and style.
In 2016, to celebrate the 50 anniversary of the island’s

independence, Alicia launched the eyewear brand Peoples from
Barbados (PFB) as a special limited edition tribute collection at her
Eye Q boutique. What started out with a collection of sunglasses
for women and men has expanded to optical frames and larger
collections, and has extended its geographical reach to unique
optical and fashion stores in other countries. The brand is now
available through fine eyewear boutiques and concept stores in
NYC, London, Miami and Jamaica. CANDI
