The family is well established in the
retail trade. The brothers’ grandfather,
the late Srinath Mohanty, opened a small
watch store, Karma Mandir, in 1952. His son
Abhimanyu Mohanty carried on the business
till 1997. When Satyabrata joined the family
business, he took the initiative to open
another watch store, Srinath Enterprises.
This was followed in 2007 with a multi-
brand international watch store, Abhimanyu
Timezone. When Debabrata joined the
family business in 2011, they opened a fourth
store, Temple of Time. More recently, the
time seemed right for Abhimanyu Eyecare,
fully dedicated to optical products, which
they opened soon after the youngest sibling
Priyabrata came on board.

headed by Satyabrata Mohanty, a well-known
entrepreneur, social worker, politician and
also the president of the All Odisha Watch
Trade Federation. His brothers Debabrata and
Priyabrata are very much part of the business
and managing the day-to-day activities.
