ver 200 students from various institutes across
India attended a Uttar Pradesh contact lens
Oeducation programme (UPCLEP) conducted by
the CL Gupta Eye Institute in Moradabad, in association
with Bausch & Lomb, on 21 and 22 May 2022. First
conducted there in 2019 and much appreciated, it aims
to enhance contact lens knowledge and skills, and make
budding practitioners future ready.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of
MOSSAB eminent speakers from the host institute, International
OMAIR
Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE), Bausch &
Lomb, India, and other experts.
Dr Ashi Khurana welcomed the delegates. She
presented the first session which focused on the
role of contact lenses in current clinical practice. This
was followed by a talk and live fitting demonstration
